Our story this week is Blame It on the Rain by Jennifer Liberts Weinberg.  Moo-Moo the cow was left out in the rain. Doc's diagnosis is Squishy-itis. Will doc McStuffins have a cure for this sad, soggy cow?
This is great story for reading over and over again.  There are cute pictures, and short pages to help keep your child's attention.
Our Every Child Ready to Read this month is Narrative skills.  Narrate your life. As you go through your day, talk about some of the things you are doing. Explain them in simple terms: First we‘ll put on your shirt, then we’ll go to the kitchen, and then we’ll make breakfast. This helps children understand that stories have a beginning, middle and end.

Please join us for silly songs, fun craft and this wonderful story.

This week we are reading The True Story of the 3 Little Pigs as told by A. Wolf. You thought you knew the story of the “The Three Little Pigs”… You thought wrong.   In this hysterical and clever fracture fairy tale picture book that twists point of view and perspective, young readers will finally hear the other side of the story of “The Three Little Pigs.”   “In this humorous story, Alexander T. Wolf tells his own outlandish version of what really happens during his encounter with the three pigs…. Smith's simplistic and wacky illustrations add to the effectiveness of this fractured fairy tale.”

Our Every Child Ready to Read theme this month is Narrative.  The telling and re-telling of stories.  Children love to hear their favourite story time after time.  They get to know the characters and how the story goes.  Encourage your child to help tell the story as you read it to them.

Please join us for our fun story, silly songs and a craft.
