Our Story today is written by Robert Munsch.  Fifty Below Zero.  We are using Tumble books from our web site for today's story.  Please join us for our fun story.  This book helps to create the desire to want to read.  Print Motivation and Print awareness are the reading skills that help develop what is needed to get ready to read.

This week we are reading the story "The Ballad of Valentine" by Alison Jackson.An ardent suitor tries various means of communication, from smoke signals to Morse code to skywriting, in order to get his message to his Valentine. 

Our every child ready to read theme this month is Vocabulary.  Knowing the names of things. As you talk to your child you are helping to develop their vocabulary.
