What Do Animals Do In Fall? The Let's Look at Fall series serves beginning readers, offering texts
consisting of 75 to 100 words. The eight-book series focusing on autumn
has kids look at different aspects of the season. What Do Animals Do in
Fall? looks at hibernating and migrating, as well as animal survival
techniques. The short sentences and appealing color photographs, many
featuring children of the intended reading age, will attract the
designated audience. The back matter is short, perhaps listing only one
title or website, but there are suggestions for parents and teachers
about ways to use the books. Solid reading for a brisk fall
day.--Cooper, Ilene Copyright 2010 Booklist.
Our Every Child Ready To Read theme is Print Motivation. Every book you read to your child helps to develop the desire to learn how to print, and to recognize letters.
Come join us for silly songs and crafts.

This week we are going to the Library's website www.otosoumon.library.on.ca to listen to our story Porcupining a Prickly Love Story written by Lisa Wheeler. You can click on this link:
http://www.tumblebooks.com/library/asp/full_book.asp?ProductID=2270
We are using Print Motivation for our Every Child Ready to Read. Reading to your child is a fun fulling time. Your love of books comes out when you read a well loved book. When your child hears how much you love the book they get excited about the story and this promotes the incentive to get ready to print. Any book you read will help your child get ready to read.
Please join us as we listen about a little porcupine who wants to find love. After looking in all the wrong places he finally finds his mate.
We will be singing silly songs, hearing our wonderful story and creating a fun simple craft.
