Saturday is Dadurday by Robin Pulver.
"For Mimi, the best day of the week is always Saturday, the day she gets to spend with just her Dad. But when Dad's work takes him away from Mimi one Saturday, 'Dadurday' is ruined. Can Mimi find a way to save 'Dadurday' and still make it special for her and her Dad?"--

Our wonderful story introduces different words to help expand our children's vocabulary. This week our Every Child Ready to Read is Vocabulary and Narrative Skills. Please join us as we sing silly songs, make a craft and hear our story about Mimi.

Our children's summer reading theme this year is "Calling All Cowboys and Cowgirls"  It starts Tuesday July 2th at 10 a.m.  Please come and join us as we have lots of western fun.

Ten little hermit crabs are exploring the beach, but one by one they disappear until there is only 'One little hermit crab alone on the pier' ... Little children will eagerly shout out the number of hermit crabs left after each one disappears, counting down from 10 to 1, when the last lonely crab is happily reunited with all its friends.

Our book this week is a fun story that helps with Letter Knowledge and number recognition.  Please come and join in the fun as we sing silly songs, hear our wonderful story and make our own crab puppet.

It's a hot summer day, and Brownie and Pearl are off to take a dip in their small blue backyard pool. They grab their bathing suits, their beach ball, and their super-chic sunglasses and get ready to soak. But when--oops!--Pearl takes a surprise spill into the water, will Brownie be able to revive her pal's sopping-wet spirits? Complete with lemonade and sunbathing, this Brownie & Pearl story subtly models conflict resolution--and is incredibly refreshing!

Come join us as Brownie and Pearl have a fun day with their wading pool.  Today our Every Child Ready to Read is based on Print Motivation.  Cute stories like this help a child want to read and print.
We will sing silly songs and hear our wonderful story.  We will create butterflies for our craft.  We hope to see you here.
